Cogger or Elsworth N/A

Fairbairn's Crests 1860 edition attributes the crest to the English families of Cogger and Ellesworth. It seems likely that any other example of this stamp that turns up will have an associated bookplate. Leonard Hotchkis (1681 1771) was Head Master of Shrewsbury School from 1735 1744. He was probably the original owner, followed by J. Nasmith, and the binding stamp was added in the nineteenth century by a third owner
