Drake, Richard (1609 -1681)

Richard Drake was the son of Roger Drake, of London. Educated at Pembroke College, Cambridge, he matriculated there as a Pensioner at Easter 1625, aged 15, and took his B.A. in 1628, his M.A. in 1631, his B.D. in 1631, and his D.D. in 1661. He was Fellow of Pembroke College, Cambridge in 1630; Taxor in 1637; Rector of Radwinter in Essex 1638 1645; and 1660 1667; Prebend of Salisbury 1660 1681, Chancellor of Salisbury 1663; and Rector of Wyke Regis in Dorset 1667 1681.
