Fortescue, George Matthew (1791 -1877)

George Matthew Fortescue of Boconno in Cornwall, and Dropmore in Buckinghamshire, was born 21 May 1791, the second son of Hugh 1st Earl Fortescue and Hester, daughter of the Rt Honorable George Grenville., he was Member of Parliament for Hindon from 1826-1831 and a Captain in the 25th Regiment. He married, 19 February 1833, Louisa Elizabeth Ryder, fifth daughter of the 1st Earl of Harrowby and died 24 January 1877, and was succeeded by his son John Bevill Fortescue.
