George Lyell Galbraith, Esq. of Loch Tummel Lodge, Pitlochry, was the son of George Galbraith of Narriga [Nerriga], New South Wales, who had emigrated to Australia in 1824, and Anne Wallace Murdoch. George Lyell Galbraith was elected a member of the Royal Physical Society of Edinburgh in 1863.
