Gosden, Thomas (1780 -1843)

Printseller, publisher of prints and books, bookseller, bookbinder and sportsman, Thomas Gosden compiled several albums of his watercolours of monuments and tombs. He was also a specialist in sport and angling, and an ardent book collector. In 1805 he established a binding firm in Bedford Street, London, but was declared bankrupt in June 1826. He died suddenly in 1843.
