Hanbury, Charlotte (1762 -1815)

Charlotte Hanbury was the second and younger daughter of Charles James Packe, of Prestwold Hall, Leicestershire, and his first wife Charlotte, younger daughter of Thomas Pochin, of Barkby Hall, in Leicestershire. She married, in 1778, William Hanbury, of Kelmarsh, in Northamptonshire, and Shobdon Court, in Herefordshire, who died in 1800. Their son, William Hanbury, was created 1st Baron Bateman, of Shobdon 30 January 1837. Her granddaughter, Harriett Anne Hanbury, eldest daughter of the 1st Lord Bateman, married, 23 February 1854, George Astley Charles Dashwood, second son of Sir George Dashwood, 4th Baronet, a Captain in the 71st Light Infantry. He died 28 July 1863, leaving two sons and two daughters, and she remarried.
