Hill, Arthur Blundell Sandys Trumbull, 3rd Marquess of Downshire (1788 -1845)

Arthur Blundell Sandys Trumbull Hill was the eldest son of Arthur Hill, 2nd Marquess of Downshire, and Mary, Baroness Sandys, daughter and heir of Martin Sandys and Mary, daughter of William Trumbull. Styled Earl of Hillsborough 1793 1801, he was educated at Eton and Christ Church Oxford, where he matriculated 27 April 1807, and took his M.A. 14 June 1809. He succeeded his father as 3rd Marquess of Downshire in 1801. He married 25 October 1811, Maria, eldest daughter of Other Hickman Windsor, 5th Earl of Plymouth. He was made a Knight of St Patrick 24 November 1831, and was Vice President of the Royal Society of Dublin. The stamp might possibly be that of his son the 4th Marquess, Arthur Wills Blundell Sandys Trumbull Wilson Hill (1812 1868).
