Lake, James Winter, Sir, 3rd Baronet (1741 -1807)

Sir James Winter Lake, 3rd Baronet, was the only son of Sir Atwell Lake, 2nd Baronet, Governor of the Hudson's Bay Company, and Mary, only daughter of James Winter of Mile End, London. He succeeded his father 10 April 1760. He married Joyce, daughter of John Crowther. He was a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries. He died 24 April 1807. His library was sold at auction in London by W. Stewart of Piccadilly on 7 March 1808, and his collections of engraved prints, portraits and illustrated books by the same auctioneer on 31 March 1808.
