Mildmay, Charles, 18th Baron Fitzwalter (1670 -1728)

Charles Mildmay was born 31 August 1670 at little Baddow in Essex, the eldest son of Benjamin, 17th Baron Fitzwalter, and Catherine, sister and coheir of Thomas, Viscount Fairfax. He succeeded his father as 18th Baron Fitzwalter at the age of nine in 1679. He married, 8 June 1693, Elizabeth, daughter of Charles Bertie of Uffington, and granddaughter of Montague, 2nd Earl of Lindsay. He died 16 February 1728. Their only son, Charles had died in his father's lifetime, and the title passed to his brother Benjamin.
