Morse, John (1776 -1844)

John Morse, of Sprowston Hall and Bagthorpe in Norfolk, and Abbot's Wooton in Dorset, was the eldest son of John Morse, Alderman of Norwich, and Elizabeth, daughter and heir of John Boycott of Sprowston Hall, Norfolk. He was appointed Deputy High Sheriff for Norfolk in 1807. He married, 21 June 1800, Elizabeth Anne, only daughter of General Thomas Hall, of Western Colville in Cambridgeshire. Their son, John Hall Morse, took the additional name and arms of Boycott in 1844. Frederic Augustus (1849 1926) was the only son of John Hall Morse Boycott, who died in 1874.
