Parker, Thomas Augustus Wolstenholme, 6th Earl of Macclesfield (1811 -1896)

Thomas Augustus Wolstenholme Parker was born 17 March 1811, the only son of Thomas, 5th Earl of Macclesfield, and his second wife Eliza, youngest daughter of William Breton Wolstenholme, of Holly Hill, Sussex. He was educated at Eton and Christ Church, Oxford and was Member of Parliament for Oxfordshire 1837-1841. He married in 1839, Henrietta, youngest daughter of Edmund Turnor, Esq., of Stoke Rochford in Lincolnshire. She died in the same year, and in 1842 he married secondly Lady Mary Frances Grovesnor, second daughter of the Marquess of Westminster and a Lady of the Bedchamber to the Princess of Wales. He succeeded his father as Earl 31 March 1850. He died 24 July 1896 and was succeeded by his eldest son George Loveden William Henry 7th Earl of Macclesfield.
