Sinclair, George, 6th Earl of Caithness (1636 -1676)

George Sinclair was the son of John Sinclair, Master of Berrieland, and Jean, daughter and coheir of Colin Mackenzie, 1st Earl of Seaforth. He succeeded his great grandfather as 6th Earl of Caithness in 1643, and married Mary, daughter of Archibald Campbell, Marquess of Argyll, 22 September 1657, but died without issue, and was eventually succeeded by his cousin, George in 1681.
