Watson, Jabez (1823 -1861)

Jabez Watson was the son of Benjamin Watson, Esq., of Wakefield in Yorkshire. He was educated at Wakefield School and Magdalene College, Cambridge, where he matriculated Michaelmas 1843, and took his B.A. in 1848, and his M.A. in 1851. He was ordained deacon in 1848 and priest in 1851, and was Curate of St Veep in Cornwall from 1853 to 1857, but his name disappears from the Clergy List in 1862.
