Biography: 

Benjamin Franklin was the fifteenth child of a Boston family. At the age of 12 he was apprenticed to his brother who was a printer. At 17 he moved to Philadelphia where the English Governor sent him to London to buy printing materials. One of the signatories of The Declaration of Independence, he went to Paris in 1777 to enlist French support for the new Republic.
