Ashhurst, Lewis Richard (1806 -1874)

Lewis Richard Ashhurst born in Lancashire, England, the son of Richard Lewis Ashhurst (1784-1809) and Elizabeth Beck Croto (1777-1857). The family emigrated to the US in the early nineteenth century. He married Mary Hazlehurst (1806-1890) and had five children. Their family home was The Grange, Havertown, near Philadelphia.
