Bayning, Paul, 1st Viscount Bayning of Sudbury (1588 -1629)

Paul Bayning was the son of Paul Bayning and Susannah Norden. He was baptised on 28 April 1588. Created a baronet 24 September 1611, he married Anne, daughter of Sir Henry Glemham and Lady Anne Sackville before 1613. He was made a Knight 19 July 1614, was Sheriff of Essex from 1617 to 1618, and was created Baron Bayning of Horkesley in Essex 27 February 1628, and Viscount Bayning of Sudbury in Suffolk 8 March 1628. He died 29 July 1629, and his large estates were left to his eldest son, also named Paul.
