Bristowe, Samuel (1658 -1740)

Samuel Bristowe of Twyford in Derbyshire, was the only son of Simon Bristowe (b. 1615), and Anne, daughter of John Orme of Burniston. He married, firstly in 1681, Bennet daughter of Richard Bottam of Mickleover in Derbyshire. She died in 1691, and, in 1692, he married Mary, daughter of Thomas Warde of Burton in Staffordshire. E.G. Duff attributes this stamp to `Breston' , as does Burke's General Armory, but this is probably due to a misreading of `Brestow' in Glover's Ordinary.
