Chubbe N/A

According to Papworth these are the arms of Chubbe of Dorset. The binding and its stamp are thoroughly modern, i.e. of the latter part of the nineteenth century, or the first quarter of the twentieth. The martlet is presumably for a fourth son, and the arms including tinctures, correspond with Papworth’s description of Chubbe of Dorset.
