Colquhoun, James, Sir, 4th Baronet (1804 -1873)

Sir James Colquhoun, 4th Baronet, of Luss, was the eldest son and heir of Sir James Colquhoun, 3rd Baronet of Luss, and Janet, daughter of Sir John Sinclair of Ulbster, Baronet. He was Lord Lieutenant of Dumbartonshire, and Member of Parliament for Dumbartonshire from 1837 to 1841. He married, 14 June 1843, Jane, second daughter of Sir Robert Abercromby, 5th Baronet of Birkenbog, and they had an only son, Sir James Colquhoun, 5th Baronet. The father was drowned in Loch Lomond, 18 December 1873.
