Davies-Berrington, Arthur Vendigaid (1833 -1909)

Arthur Davies Berrington of Pant y Goitre, Abergavenny was the only surviving son of Jenkin Davies Berrington of Woodland Castle, Glamorganshire, and Charlotte, daughter of Benjamin Hall, Esq, M.P. of Hensol Castle, Glamorganshire. Arthur Davies Berrington was educated at Eton and Exeter College, Oxford, where he matriculated 12 June 1851, age 18. He was Chief Inspector of Fisheries for England and Wales and Chairman of Quarter Sessions for Monmouthshire. He married, firstly, in 1853, Frances Lennox, daughter of the Rev. Charles Heneage, Rector of Wrotham in Kent, and secondly, in 1861, Ada Barbara, daughter of John Lane Esq., of Leyton Grange, Essex.
