Dormer, Mary, Countess of Carnarvon (1655 -1709)

Lady Mary Bertie, was the daughter of Montagu Bertie, 2nd Earl of Lindsey, and his second wife, Bridget, daughter and heir of Edward Wray and Elizabeth Norris, only daughter and heir of Francis, Earl of Berkshire, and Baroness Norreyes in her own right. Lady Mary married Charles Dormer, 2nd Earl of Carnarvon, as his second wife, at some time after 7 August 1678, when his first wife died. They had no children, and as he had three daughters by his previous wife, the Earldom of Carnarvon died with him, and the Barony of Dormer and the Baronetcy passed to the family of the second son of the first Baron.
