Egerton, William Tatton (1749 -1806)

William Tatton was the eldest son of William Tatton of Tatton Park in Cheshire, and Mrs Hestor Egerton, who resumed her maiden name after the marriage. Born 9 May 1749 he married four times. Firstly, 27 February 1773, Frances Maria daughter of John Fountaine D.D., Dean of York: they had one son who died unmarried 9 February 1799; secondly, 26 October 1780, Mary, second daughter of Richard Wilbraham Bootle; they had two sons and a daughter; thirdly 3 June 1786, Anna Maria, daughter of Sir George Armytage, 3rd Baronet of Kirklees; and fourthly 1 November 1803, Charlotte Clara, daughter of Thomas Watkinson Payler. He died 21 April 1806, and was succeeded by his second son Wilbraham.
