Ferguson, Thomas (1795 -1859)

Thomas Ferguson of Greenville, County Down, and Ballysillen, County Antrim, was one of the sons of John Stephenson Ferguson (1761 1837), and Ellinor, daughter of Thomas Beggs of Dublin. He married, 12 February 1827, Emma daughter of Thomas Benyon, of New Grange Hall, Leeds, and was the grandfather of Ivor Andrew Benyon Ferguson. The family is believed to be a cadet of the Fergusons of Kilkerran in Ayrshire.
