Flower, William, Baron, of Castle Durrow (1685 -1746)

William Flower, of Durrow, County Kilkenny, was the only son of Thomas Flower, of Durrow, and Mary, fourth daughter of Sir John Temple, Attorney General for Ireland. He was Member of Parliament for County Kilkenny from 1715 1727, and for Portarlington from 1727 until he was created Baron of Castle Durrow in the peerage of Ireland 27 October 1733. He married Edith, daughter of the Honourable Toby Caulfield. Their only surviving son, Henry, was created 1st Viscount Ashbrook in 1751.
