Gray, Francis, 14th Baron Gray (1765 -1842)

Francis Gray, 14th Lord Gray, of Kinfauns Castle Perthshire, was the third son of John, 11th Lord Gray, and Margaret Blair, heiress of Kinfauns Castle. He was commissioned Captain in the 4th Fencibles, and, in 1793, promoted to Major in the 1st Battalion the Breadalbane Fencibles. He married, 17 February 1794, Mary Ann, daughter of Colonel James Johnstone. They had one son and three daughters. He was Postmaster General for Scotland 1807 1810. He succeeded his brother, William John, 13th Lord Gray on 12 December 1807, and was elected a representative peer for Scotland 1812 1842. His son John succeeded him as 15th Lord Gray 20 August 1842.
