Milbank, William Harry Vane (1848 -1892)

William Harry Vane Milbank was born 28 December 1848, the eldest son of Sir Frederick Acclom Milbank, 1st Baronet of Thorp Perrow, Yorkshire, and Alexina Harriet, daughter of Sir Alexander Don, 6th Baronet. He was educated at Eton. Afterwards he was a Lieutenant in the Royal Horse Guards, a Justice of the Peace and Deputy Lieutenant for the North Riding of Yorkshire. He married, 1 December 1871, Alice Sidonie Vandenburg, daughter of Desire Baruch, of Brussels, and widow of Charles Edward Bellroche Esq. They had no children, and on his death 24 October 1892, the baronetcy passed to his younger brother, Powlett Charles John.
