Osborn, Peter (1690 -1754)

Peter Osborn was the second son of Sir John Osborne [sic], 2nd Baronet of Chicksands Priory, Bedfordshire, and his second wife, Martha Kelynge. He was a Captain in the Royal Navy, and Captain of the Royal Hospital, Greenwich. He married, in 1718, Mary Brudenell, daughter of Francis Lord Brudenell, and widow of the 5th Viscount Molyneux. The omission of the “e” at the end of the family name was the result of the creation of a cousin as 1st Duke of Leeds.
