Sandys, Michael Edwin Marcus, 5th Baron Sandys, of Ombersley (1855 -1948)

Michael Edwin Marcus, 5th Baron Sandys of Ombresley in Worcestershire, was the third son of Arthur Marcus Sandys, 3rd Baron Sandys, and Louisa, youngest daughter of Joseph Blake. A stockbroker, and Justice of the Peace for Worcestershire, he married, in 1886, Marjorie Clara Pontreath, daughter of John Morgan of Brighton. He succeeded his elder brother, Augustus Frederick Arthur in 1904, and died without issue, 4 August 1948, when he was succeeded by his kinsman, Arthur Fitzgerald Sandys. Books from his library were sold in London in 1929.
