Sidney-Humphries, Sydney (1862 -1941)

Sydney Sidney-Humphries, ot Bohun Court, Worcestershire, was born 7 August 1862, the fourth son of John Humphries, of Blakebrook House, Worcestershire, and his second wife Hannah, , daughter of George Collier, of Halifax. On 27 April 1894 he married Marie Elizabeth, eldest daughter of Robert William Rankine, J. P., of Cunnoquhie, Fifeshire, and Ainslie Place, Edinburgh. In 1920 he took the additional surname of Sidney. The same year he purchased the Bohun Court Estate from the Right Revd. Huyshe Yeatman-Biggs, at one time Bishop of Southwark ; then of Worcester; and late of Coventry. He was a Life-Member of the Worcestershire Historical and Archaeological Societies, a Life Member of the London Library, and a member of the Royal Agricultural Society.
