Squire, Scipio (1579 -1659)

Scipio Squire (or Scipio Le Squire) was the son of Edmund Le Squire, and Martha, daughter and heir of Mark Slader of North Tawton, Devon, and his second wife Catherine, daughter of Alexander Wood. Alexander Wood's first wife was Margaret, daughter and heiress of James Samford. Scipio Squire was Chamberlain to the Court of Exchequer. The arms and crest were granted to him in 1623.
