Stuart, Simeon, Sir, 2nd Baronet, of Hartley Mauduit (1679 -1761)

Sir Simeon Stuart, 2nd Baronet, of Hartley Mauduit, was the son of Charles Stuart and Clemence, eldest daughter and coheir of Sir William Hovell. He succeeded his grandfather, Sir Nicholas Stuart, 1st Baronet in 1710. He was a Chamberlain of the Exchequer 1712 1761, and Member of Parliament for Hampshire. He married Elizabeth, daughter and eventually heir of Sir Richard Dereham, 3rd Baronet of West Dereham in Norfolk. The binding is illustrated in Hobson, G. D. English bindings of J. R.
