Whichcote, Paul, Sir, 2nd Baronet, of the Inner Temple (1643 -1721)

Sir Paul Whichcote, 2nd Baronet, of Quy Hall in Cambridgeshire, was the eldest son of Sir Jeremy Whichcote, 1st Baronet, Solicitor General to the Prince Elector Palatine, and Anne, eldest daughter and heir of Joseph Grave. He was educated at King's College, Cambridge, where he was admitted a Fellow Commoner in 1662. He married, 14 June 1677, Jane, daughter and heir of Sir Nicholas Gould, 1st Baronet, and succeeded his father in the baronetcy on 22 June 1677. He was made a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1674 and an M.A. of Cambridge University in 1701.
