Arundell, John Francis, 12th Baron Arundell of Wardour (1831 -1906)

John Francis Arundell was the son of Henry Benedict 11th Baron Arundell of Wardour and his second wife Frances Catherine, second daughter of Sir Henry Joseph Tichborne. He was born 28 December 1831 and educated at Stonyhurst College. He married, 13 October 1862, Ann Lucy daughter of John Errington of High Warden, Northumberland. She died 24 October 1934. Lord Arundell died 26 October 1906 and was succeeded by his brother Everard Aloyisius Gonzaga Arundell, a Catholic Priest. This is presumably the dedication copy of this musical work. The composer is Gustave Charpentier (1860-1956). The stamp is French and the inclusion of the supporters of the double headed eagle for a Count of the Holy Roman Empire with the English supporters for the arms on the same achievement has resulted in some confusion in the design.
