Possibly Richard Carpenter (fl. 1781-1830, engraver and printer, Aldgate High Street, London 1785-1830; Traded alone 1785-1815 as R. Carpenter and son. He was the son of John Carpenter, shoemaker. Apprenticed to John Banister, engraver 4 Apr 1769, and became a freeman on 7 May 1776, and was liveried in 1793. 

Fairbairn identifies the crest as Carpenter, of Cobham, Surrey.
