Douglas, Francis Archibald Kelhead, 11th Marquess of Queensberry (1896 -1954)

Francis Archibald Kelhead, 11th Marquess of Queensberry, was the eldest son of Percy Sholto Douglas, 10th Marquess, and Anna Maria Walters. He was educated at Harrow and the Royal Military College, Sandhurst, served in the Black Watch, and reached the rank of Captain, being wounded twice during the First World War. Afterwards he went on the London Stock Exchange. He married firstly, 4 December 1917, Irene Clarice, only daughter of Henry William Richards, of Fairhaven, Salcombe, Devon. The marriage ended in divorce in 1925, and he married secondly, 18 March 1926, Cathleen Sabine, daughter of Harrington Mann. They divorced in 1946, and he married thirdly, 23 April 1947, Muriel Beatrice Margaret, daughter of Arthur John Rowe Thornett, and formerly wife of Albert Sydney Gore Chunn.
