Ellis, Thomas Leonard (1862 -1897)

Thomas Leonard Ellis was the youngest of four children of Thomas Ellis, founder of the North British Ironworks, Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire, and Sarah Leonard. His occupation on the 1881 Census is listed as Clerk in Iron Works, in the 1891 Census as Iron Manufacturer, and as Ironmaster on his marriage and death registration. On 18th April 1893 he married Elizabeth (Lizzie) Ritchie Lindsay, daughter of John Lindsay, Portioner and Jane Lindsay nee Pettigrew of Rosslyn House, Coatbridge.
