Fitzroy, William, Sir (1782 -1857)

Born 1 June 1782, Admiral William Fitzroy K.C.B. was the fifth son of Augustus Henry 3rd Duke of Grafton ,and his second wife Elizabeth, daughter of the Rev. Sir Richard Wrottesley. He was Member of Parliament for Thetford 1806-1812. He married, in 1816, Georgiana,daughter of Thomas Raikes, and they had a son and a daughter. The Admiral died 13 May 1857.
