Fraser, William Augustus, Sir, 4th Baronet, of Leadclune (1826 -1898)

Sir William Fraser was the eldest son of Sir James Fraser, 3rd Baronet of Ledeclune, and Charlotte Ann Howard. He was born 10 February 1826 and educated at Christ Church, Oxford, where he took his M.A. He was a Captain in the Life Guards, Member of Parliament for Barnstaple 1852-1857, for Ludlow 1863 and for Kidderminster 1874-1880. He was a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries and one of the Royal Company of Archers, the Queen’s Bodyguard for Scotland. He died unmarried 17 August 1898, and was succeeded by his nephew.
