Gibbons, Benjamin (1824 -1912)

This is the crest of the Reverend Benjamin Gibbons, of Poollands, Hartlebury, Worcestershire, and Waresley House, near Kidderminster. From about 1876 until his death in 1912 the Rev. Benjamin Gibbons lived at Waresley.  The attribution to Benjamin Gibbons is not so straightforward, as the motto usually associated with this crest is Fide et fortitudine. However, in the COADB website there is a note, stating that a second Motto (placed over the crest), reads Accipe crucem.
