Gordon, John Edward (1850 -1915)
Probably the stamp of John Edward Gordon, eldest son of Edward Strathearn Gordon, Lord Gordon of Drumearn, a life peer who was twice Lord Advocate of Scotland, and Agnes, only daughter and heir of John MacInnes Esq, of Auchenreoch. He was educated at Edinburgh Academy and the University of Edinburgh, and married, in 1879, Elizabeth Anna, daughter of J. Snowdon Henry, Member of Parliament for South East Lancashire. They had two sons and three daughters. He was Member of Parliament for Elgin and Nairn 1895 1906; and for Brighton 1911 1914.
