Innes-Ker, Susanna Stephania, Duchess of Roxburghe (1814 -1895)

Susanna Stephia was the only child of Lieutenant-General Sir James Charles Dalbiac, and Susanna Isabella, eldest daughter of Lieutenant-colonel John Dalton, of Sleningford Hall, Ripon, Yorkshire. On 29 December 1836 Susanna Stephania was married to James Henry Robert Innes-Ker, 6th Duke of Roxburghe, and bore four children, including James Henry Robert Innes-Ker, 7th Duke of Roxburghe. She was a lady-in-waiting to Queen Victoria, as a Lady of the Bedchamber 1865-1895, and acting Mistress of the Robes in 1892. The Duchess died in 1895, surviving the 6th Duke by seventeen years.
