Jesus College Cambridge N/A
Jesus College was founded in 1496 by John Alcock, Bishop of Ely, on the site of the old Priory of St Radegund, which had “become dilapidated and wasted” owing to the improvidence of the nuns. The arms are those of Bishop Alcock within a bordure of the See of Ely. In 1575, Robert Cooke, Clarenceux King of Arms, granted the arms as in the stamps but without the mitre.
