The arms on the bookplate are Quarterly 1. Vert a lion rampant argent (Lewis) 2. Argent four bars sable on a bend azure three trefoils fitchy (Pott of Cheshire or Stanicliffe of Derbyshire) 3. Per fess azure and or a pale counterchanged three falcons wings elevated (Locke) 4. Argent a chevron between three escallops gules (Ardbow, Ardborough, Dorthorpe, Perin or Tancred) on an escutcheon of pretence Quarterly 1 and 4. Argent three greyhounds courant in bend between two bendlets and two eagles displayed sable (Craye of Wickford, Isle of Ely) 2 and 3. Sable a lion passant between three close helmets argent (Compton). Musgrave's Obituary lists Percival Lewis junior of Putney died 13 November 1747 and Percival Lewis of Putney died 29 Aug 30 September 1762.
