Marsham, Henry Philip (1817 -1892)

The Reverend Mr Henry Philip Marsham of Rippon Hall, Hevingham, Norfolk, was the third son of Robert Marsham Esq. of Stratton Strawless in Norfolk, and Frances Anne, daughter of John Custance Esq. of Weston House. He was educated at Trinity Hall, Cambridge, where he was admitted a pensioner 28 March 1839, matriculated in Michaelmas that year, Scholar 1840, LL.B. 1846. He was ordained a deacon at Norwich in 1842, and priest the following year, and was Curate of Stratton Strawless 1842 1858, Rector of Brampton 1843 1858, and of Stratton Strawless 1859 1872. He married 19 September 1843, Caroline Savill, eldest daughter of Orley Savill Onley of Sisted Hall, Essex, latterly of Ripon. He was a Justice of the Peace for Norfolk.
