Palmer, Francis (1828 -1904)

The Reverend Francis Palmer was the sixth son of Sir John Henry Palmer, 7th Baronet of Carlton in Northamptonshire, and Mary Grace Watson, eldest daughter of Lewis Thomas, 2nd Baron Sondes. Admitted to Brasenose College, Oxford 12 March 1846, age seventeen, he became a Postmaster at Merton College 1846-1850, and took his B.A. in 1850 and his M.A.1853, and was curate at Kidderminster 1855 1857, at St Mary's, Dover, 1859 1862, at St John's, Paddington, 1862 1864, and Perpetual Curate of St George's Chapel, Albermarle Street, London from 1866 1888. He never married.
