Parker, Robert Townley (1793 -1879)

Robert Townley Parker, of Cuerden Hall, Preston, and Astley in Lancashire, was born 27 August 1793, the only son Thomas Townley Parker, and Susannah, only daughter and heir of Peter Brooke also of Astley. He succeeded his father 8 January 1794. He married 21 December 1816, Harriet, youngest daughter of Thomas Brooke of Church Minshull in Cheshire. He was Member of Parliament for Preston 1837-1857. He died 11 August 1879 and was succeeded by his eldest son Thomas.
