Parkhurst, Robert, Sir (1569 -1636)

Robert Parkhurst, citizen and alderman of London, was Lord Mayor in 1634, knighted 24 May 1635, and died 19 October 1636. In 1632 he gave £50 to Sion College to buy books. [Entry in benefactors’ register for 1632: “Robert Parkhurst civilian and Alderman of London gave fifty pownds wherewith were bought these books.”]
