Platt, John (1842 -1902)

John Platt of Clifton Lodge, Llandudno was the eldest son of James Platt, and Mary, eldest daughter of John Shepherd. He was a Justice of the Peace for the Borough of Warrington. He married, 17 October 1867, Ellen James, daughter of John Hunter Whitby. He sold his library, which contained many extra illustrated books to G. D. Smith in 1920.
