Raper, Matthew (1741 -1826)

Matthew Raper of Wendover Dean in Buckinghamshire and Wimpole Street, London. A Fellow of the Royal Society, he succeeded Daniel Lysons as Director of the Society of Antiquaries. He wrote An enquiry into the measure of the Roman foot. London [n.d.] His library was sold at Sotheby's 12 March 1827.
