St John's College Oxford N/A
St John's College, Oxford was founded by Sir Thomas White, a prosperous merchant taylor in 1557, on the site of St Bernard's College, a medieval monastic foundation, which he purchased from Christ Church. The arms and crest used by the college are those of the founder.
